Director of Community Living (DCL)

The DCL oversees the operations of all Community Living services we provide
to individuals with Intellectual and /or Developmental Disabilities (I/DD).


Responsibilities:
-Supervision of assigned staff which includes interviewing, training, evaluating,
counseling and terminating.
-Follow and implement written procedures and systems relating to guidelines,
practices, procedures, and policies of The Arc assuring that staff apply
them consistently in all assigned services and with consistency.
-Maintain system of the operations to assure efficiency, fairness and economy for
all Community Living Services 24/7 sites that house people with significant staffing,
medical and behavioral needs.
-Monitor the budget, financial needs and activities of the group homes and the
develop system in managing the client's funds.
-Ensure compliance, increase innovation and effective communication through the
use of technology and evaluate information and compare alternatives for decision
making and goal planning.
-Implement the agency's quality improvement plan, follow up on decisions made in
the leadership meetings to ensure proper execution and provide/manage proper
documentation.
-Maintain a visible presence in all three counties on a regular basis.

Hours: Varies (Requires availability to respond to emergencies 24/7)

Requirements:
Possesses a bachelor's degree in a related field and three (3) years of
progressively responsible experience or an equivalent combination of education
and experience. Also requires knowledge of DDA, National, State and local issues
relating to intellectual and cognitive disabilities. Other requirements include Clean
Criminal Background, Vehicle and Valid Driver's License with good driving record.


Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
