Tank Install Helpers


Main accountabilities for the job are as follows:

  • Provide service to home comfort equipment as needed requiring individual to go downstairs for basement locations or more through a 30 wide by 24 high crawl space under the residence while carrying a tool box and vacuum cleaner which may weigh up to 50 pounds.
  • Using a company provided service vehicle drive from departure point to installation locations as dispatched from a central location.
  • Provide skilled and unskilled assistance to installation team leader
  • Using hydraulic lifts or mechanical devices and wheeled carts with assistance of another employee, remove from truck, move to customer location, and install parts which may include boilers, furnace units and/or oil tanks. Boilers will weigh up to 1000 lb. and a 275 gallon oil tank empty will weigh in excess of 200 lbs.
  • Using a ladder, safely climb to heights up to 30' to replace roof caps, chimneys and service commercial heating and cooling equipment.
  • Visually inspect assigned vehicle for safety considerations, i. e., tires, lights, brakes, oil and other fluid levels, etc. and confirm the absence of fluid leaks on a daily basis.
  • Work with substances used in the petroleum and refrigeration industries (i. e., fuel oil, fuel oil additives, cleaners, Freon, etc.)

Required Qualifications

Valid driver license.

Pass a DOT physical

Department lifting requirement of up to 100 lbs.

Preferred but not Required:

DOT Medical card.

Class C CDL Hazmat with an oil background A PLUS.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
